Professor LIU Xisong on Shortlist for Most Influential Scholars of Chinese Philosophy and Social Sciences

      Recently, the China Research Center for Humanities and Social Science Assessment published the Chinese Philosophical and Social Science Most Influential Scholars List Research Report: Based on the Chinese Papers (2017 Edition). HEU's retired Professor LIU Xisong was on the shortlist, awarded as the most influential scholar in Chinese philosophy and social sciences.

The data from the Chinese Philosophical and Social Science Most Influential Scholars List Research Report mainly comes from the CNKI dissertation database, where a total of 20 first-level disciplines such as philosophy and sociology and 8,100 Chinese papers were collected. The list has three categories, that is, 20 first-level discipline rankings, 81 secondary subjects list and five interdisciplinary rankings.

Professor LIU, having won the titles of "Excellent Teaching Worker of Heilongjiang Province", "Outstanding Teacher of Heilongjiang Province", "March 8 Red Flag Hand of Harbin", "Excellent Tutor of Heilongjiang Province Doctoral Candidates" and "HEU Emeritus Professor", is entitled to the National Council's special allowance.

He has published over 180 papers in the core journals and above as well as 11 books, and he has mentored 188 postgraduate students. Additionally, he has presided over and completed 23 projects including the National Social Science Fund and the National Natural Science Foundation, and he has won 15 first and second prizes at provincial and ministerial levels.
