Ⅰ Introduction to the “college of intelligent Systems Science and Engineering

The College of Intelligent Systems Science and Engineering is the College with the largest scale, largest number of students and largest research & scientific fund in HEU. The College is the core institution of the national "First-class Discipline" project. In 2019, it was awarded as “Outstanding Organization of the National Education System”. According to the latest discipline evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Education, "Control Science and Engineering", on which the Artificial Intelligence Program is specially relied, listed among TOP 9 in China. The employment rate of undergraduate students has been maintained at 95%, and the graduates are favored by Baidu, Byte Dance, Huawei,Inspur, ZTE etc.

Ⅱ Cultivation objectives

Artificial Intelligence Program is committed to cultivating outstanding engineers who can meet the needs of social and economic development in future, and engage in scientific research, technology application, system development, project management and other work in artificial intelligence and related fields, including:

1. Capable of catering for the development needs of modern Al technology, and com-prehensively using mathematics, engineering and artificial intelligence expertise to provide systematic solutions for complex engineering projects.

2. Able to follow up cutting-edge technologies in Al and related fields, and be able to use modern tools to research, design, develop and use the Al products.

3. Having a sense of social responsibility, understand and adhere to professional ethics，capable of comprehensively considering the related factors such as law, environmentand sustainable development, and giving priority to the public welfare.

4. Good humanities literacy and capable of working independently or in a team; having good communication and project management skills.

5. Having a sense of globalization and international horizon, being able to evolve with the change of society and environment, capable of lifelong learning.

6. Reaching HSK4 (Level 4) of the "International Chinese Proficiency Standards"

Ⅲ Core Courses

Artificial Intelligence Theory, Electronic Technology, Digital Signal Processing, Data Structure and Algorithms, Microcomputer Principles and Embedded Systems, Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition and Machine Vision, Digital Image Processing, Big Data Information Mining, Robotic Intelligence Technology, etc.

Ⅳ Potential Employment

Position related with Al system analysis, research, Design, Operation and Management in R&D Institutions, Manufacturing Enterprises and Integrated Application companies in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Ⅴ Admission Criteria

1. Non-Chinese citizens, good health in physical and mental, abide by Chinese laws, regulations and university rules, respect the culture of the Chinese people, and no criminal record.

2. A diploma equivalent to a Chinese high school graduation or above.

3. English proficiency certificate with TOEFL score of 80 or lELTS score of 5.5 or above, or evidence of equivalent qualifications.

4. A good foundation in mathematical and scientific knowledge.

Ⅵ Scholarships

Harbin Engineering University offers scholarships for outstanding students with no less than 85% scores in core courses ofhigh school. The scholarship equals to 50% tuition fee. The extremely excellent students have the opportunity to win a scholarship equals to full tuition fee.

Ⅶ Fees

1. Tuition Fees：22000 CNY/year;

2. Application fee：400 CNY(Non-refund)

3. Accommodation：Double room: 400 CNY/month

                                   Single room: 800CNY/month

4. Registration Fees：400 CNY/year

5. Physical examination：400 CNY(According to actual charge)

6. Insurance：800 CNY/year

7. Residence Permit：400 CNY/year

8. Books：About 800 CNY/year (Subject to everyacademic year according to actual requirements)

9. Water, Electricity, Internet Access：About 120-150 CNY/month

Note: Tuition fees are required for both online & offline courses.

Ⅷ Payment

1. Application fee should be paid by REMITTANCE before the hard copies received

2. Tuition Fee could be paid by remittance or on campus depending on the method of registration.

3. Other fees could be paid on campus when offline courses are available.

Note:

1. Book fees and bedding fees are charged according to the actual situation.

2. For those who cannot register for admission for some reason, the application materials and application fee will not be refunded.

Ⅸ Application Time

From April 15th to May 31st every year, Hard copies of Application Documents must be received within the deadline.

1. Application Form;

2. Scanned copy of passport personal information page;

3. High school diploma or pre-graduation certificate, and high school transcript;

4. Statement of Purpose (SOP);

5. Proof of Language Proficiency,

6. Medical Report;

7. Proof of Non-Criminal Record;

8. Proof of financial guarantee.

Note:

1. The above mentioned documents, need to be submitted in PDF format, and documents not in Chinese or English need to be translated into Chinese or English.

2. Applicants under the age of 18 must submit a certificate of entrustment signed by their guardian in China and the Chinese embassy certification document of their birth certificate. If there is no parental information on the birth certificate, an additional document certified by the Chinese embassy to prove the family relationship must be provided.

Ⅺ Application Process

1. Apply at Harbin Engineering University online application system http://issp.hrbeu.edu.cn;

(Note: THE REGISTRATION FEE PAYMENT RECEIPT must be uploaded together with other application materials.)

2. Upload documents and send hard copies to the International Student Admissions Office of HEU;

3. Keep checking the progress of the application, and re-submit non-qualified documents in time;

4.The Admission Grant Offer will be issued by email;

5. Follow the guideline to deal with the visa issues and registration on campus or online.
