I．Introduction

Founded in 1953, Harbin Engineering University (HEU) stands as China’s national key universities of "211 Project", setting up Graduate School approved by China’s Ministry of Education, “National Superior Discipline Innovation Platform Project", and listed in the first batch of universities for the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" and "Double First-class" initiatives for universities.

HEU focuses on science and engineering, and maintains a harmonious development across other fields including management and humanities. IV. Eligibility

(1) Non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health.

(2) Applicants for a master's degree should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, excellent academic performance, and the age should be generally no more than 35 years old;

(3) Applicants for doctoral degrees should have a master's degree or equivalent, excellent academic records, and the age should be generally no more than 40 years old;

(4) Applicants for professional courses taught in Chinese should submit the certificate of HSK band 4 (inclusive) or above; Applicants for courses taught in English should submit the valid certificates of TOEFL 79, IELTS 5.5 or above; or provide an equivalent language proficiency certificate recognized by the university.

(5) Relevant professional work or internship experience is preferred.

(2) Full scholarship covers:

Free tuition;

To provide free accommodation on campus or provide accommodation subsidies;

To provide the monthly living expenses; Master's degree: RMB 3,000 / month; Doctoral candidates: 3,500 RMB/month

Comprehensive medical insurance: 800 RMB/person/year

2. Bilateral Program (Type A)

Bilateral Program includes a full or partial scholarship established by MOE in accordance with educational exchange agreements or consensus between Chinese government and governments of other countries, institutions, universities or international organizations. The applicants shall submit the application to the dispatching departments of their home country.

VIII. Fees and Costs (Currency: RMB yuan)

Application fee: 400 yuan/person

Tuition fee:

Master's degree 27,000 yuan /year (taught in Chinese); 33,000 yuan /year (taught in English)

Doctoral degree: 35,000yuan /year (taught in Chinese); 42,000yuan /year (taught in English)

Accommodation fee: Single room 800 yuan /month; Double-bed room 400-500yuan /month

Comprehensive medical insurance: 800 yuan /year;

Residence permit: 800 yuan/year
