Harbin Engineering University (HEU) currently offers 43 undergraduate programs, among which 33 are national first-class undergraduate majors, and 18 have passed engineering education professional certification. It has 17 first-level doctoral degree authorization points, 33 first-level master’s degree authorization points, 4 doctoral professional degree categories, 12 master’s professional degree categories, 13 post-doctoral research stations, and 3 post-doctoral workstations.

Eight disciplines of HEU—Engineering, Materials Science, Computer Science, Chemistry, Environment/Ecology, Physics, Earth Science, and Social Sciences—have entered the top 1% of ESI globally, with Engineering ranked in the top 0.1% worldwide.

In the fourth round of discipline evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Education, HEU’s Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering ranks first in China, Nuclear Science and Technology ranks third, and Control Science and Engineering ranks sixth.
